Services : What I do

I'm a seasoned creative, art director and designer with a broad background on both sides of the table. I'm not a hipster agency in Google-ish offices with a 'soft play' reception - but I don't have their overheads either! However, I can and do work with design and marketing agencies as much as working direct with individuals or businesses.

I just love helping people and brands find their true image and voice and to broadcast that effectively to their customers. Whatever you need, creatively, I'm sure I can help. Be it project based or simply by the hour - I'll get out of bed for almost anything...

to a full brand personality and voice

One-offs to full brand collateral

No job too small - no really, I'm happy to help with anything, be it a simple graphic icon, a rubber stamp or a business card. But if you'd like to overhaul, sense check or even discover your brand personality - then I can help there too.

All purpose creativity engine

From the meticulously focused to the random thrashing out of leftfield creative ideas, designs, copy and campaigns - either with your team or independently. I'm a creative 'gun for hire', but that could just as well be for a little 'housekeeping' artwork  as it might be for a major brand (re)design.

 

Advertising & marketing materials

Traditional printed brochures or flyers, digital and social advertising or sales promotion campaigns and mechanics.

 

Banners and exhibition/event collateral

Exhibitions and trade/consumer fairs are the ultimate opportunity to convey your 'brand experience' - the fully loaded, multi-sensory personality of your business or product identity. So while its important to convey certain information, it is even more important to strike the right note through visual, textural and even audio media.

 

Whether utilising existing branding or coming up with a new look, I can help work up ideas and artwork for your display.

Web concepts - new or refashioned

Many make the mistake of seeing their website simply as a digital brochure - which, of course can be part of it. Certainly you want it to offer as full a specification of your offering as necessary - but, like every communication, the key goal must be to prompt customers to actively engage with you and / or buy your product!

I can help you review your existing web presence to check if it is achieving the right level of UX (user experience) and work with specialist web developers to ensure you are reaching as many of the right people as possible.

Packaging concept evaluation

Getting your packaging right can seem an endless effort of trying to balance the legal requirements with brand and product descriptions within a very limited space. But what is vital is to make it jump off the shelf and to make it desirable - attention grabbing, self-explanatory and aesthetically appealing. It must instantly set you above your competition and look so good, your customer will just HAVE to have it!

Having been around food and drink brands a fair bit, its easy to see how designs can often limit you by appearing too niche or too mass market. And just achieving a 'professional' or 'credible' looking design is not enough - in fact this often only serves to make you less visible. Trialing dummy packs in real store environments is essential to appreciate how your designs might work AND to gain valuable feedback from real shoppers in your category.
